Abbie St. Claire- An Unforgettable Lesson

However, neither of them expect romance to rise from the greens.

My Thoughts.

I absolutely adore sports romances, these ten wonderful authors did not disappoint. These were some of the best sports romances I've ever read.
Playing For Keeps- This was a sweet short read. A hockey player with a rowdy past and a reporter. What a mix. Colton is known for taking a different puck bunny home every night but when he's thrown into a team transfer can he change his ways? All he knows is that the sexy beat reporter makes him want to. This was a light short story. A quick read. The characters were perfect and the story line pretty good. It's enjoyable.
Racing Hearts - So, I have to start this review with the fact that I love stock car racers, my husband is one. ;) and when I realized there was a racing book in this box set I went crazy, because there aren't many romances about race car drivers. Racing Hearts definitely filled a void in my life. It was JUST what I needed!! Tom was unluckily at the wrong place at the wrong time when he was t-boned by a drunk driver. Now left with seizures after the accident he's not allowed to race. Which pretty much means life is over in his eyes. When his high school girlfriends little sister comes by offering a trained dog to help him though, he's in for an eye opener. Can Meg change his view on life after the accident? I loved Meg, she's a no nonsense, get off your but and do something kind of girl. She was the perfect heroine for Tom! This book included all that was needed. It was perfect for a short story!
Loved By The Linebacker- Lyssa Layne did a pretty fine job on her first alpha male, if I do say so myself. Evan is a man whore, simply as fact. A different girl to satisfies his needs is all he needs. By why can't he get his agent out of his head? Camila is a sports agent, like the best one out there, yes, even though she's a woman. It's a man's job but who cares? Because she certainly doesn't. Her best friend talked her into signing his little brother, ugh. That little brother being Evan, she's probably gotten in over her head with this one. Why does she want him? In her bed? It was fun getting to ride along for this love story for Evan and Camila. They were total opposites and I loved it. They were awesome characters and the story flowed spot on.
Finding The Strength- Okay, first if all, let me just start with the cover. That thing packs a punch! It's powerful, it's beautiful and it speaks volumes! Tayla and Cam's story blew me away! I was engrossed the whole time and didn't want to blink, not even for a second.. When leaving the spa Tayla sees a handsome man at the reception. Counter, little does she know he's the man that'll save her life. Walking to her car from the spa, Tayla is attacked by a mugger. After thus grueling time she is talked into taking a self defense class by her best friend. She's a nervous wreck and not sure how to be strong, nor self confident. Cam never imagined having to save the beautiful woman he just encountered in the spa. And he never imagined seeing her again after the attack. But, that didn't keep him from wondering what shape she was in afterwards. Cam is a Tae Kwon Do black belt who had a rough past, Tae Kwon Do has improved him as a person. When these two are reunited it's a cheering match til the end. This was an emotional, sweet, and heart wrenching read. Another piece of art written by the lovely Stacy Eaton. This story also made me admire the strength of Tae Kwon Do. It's so much different than I thought it would be. I had really no clue what all Tae Kwon Do was, until reading this book. It's inspiring, that's for sure. I hope you enjoy this beautiful Novella.
Third Base-Adriana is a business woman who unfortunately lost her husband last year. They were both huge supporters for the Wounded Warriors project and Habitat for humanity. During her latest project Adriana meets Tomas, a baseball player. It's a story of Family trouble, dealing with loss, a jealous ex girlfriend, and unwanted sparks. I absolutely LOVE baseball. With that being said this story was not at all what I expected. It just didn't hit the spot for me. I really wanted it to, but sadly it didn't. I really hope this story brings more to you, than it did me.
Flawed- This book had me reeled in from the start, I don't know why, but whatever it was, it did the trick!! A bartender and a beach volleyball player. A man who needs money, a girl who needs to find what she loves. When Ariel takes a all exclusive paid trip to Ft. Lauderdale thanks to her sister in law she meets two hot volleyball players. One guy is obviously a player, exactly what Noelle told her to find while on vacation. And the other, quite, reserved, and someone she can't get out of her head. In away this book is about second chances, and when things go wrong and are taken the wrong way, it's all you can do to set it back on track. Reading this book left me with a smile on my face. And I didn't want it to end!
An Unforgettable Lesson- It takes skill to pull of a remarkable story, let alone a short novella. Mrs. St. Claire definitely pulled it off. This was my first book by her and certainly will not be my last. I'm not a golf person, unless you count putt putt golf. Lol. And honestly, when I saw the cover I thought, "oh lord, golf. How boring is this book going to be?" but, boring. It was not. Not at all! I loved Amelia and Huck and I think they were the perfect match. Huck decided he needed to learn how to play golf, for work related reasons. In order to show up a competitive Co worker. When he makes lessons to learn golf it all goes wrong at first. But when a snarky young Cajun golfer ends up helping out, golf turns out to be so much more than he thought it would be. The sparks fly in this one. And the banter is fun. You can't help but smile. I love that in a book! I hope you enjoy it!!
Body Lock- I was totally lost in this book, right from the start. Kimmie had me, hook, line, and sinker. And i loved every minute of it. I never knew what was going to happen next. That's the best thing about a good book. And Hot tamales, talk about a book boyfriend, Ford is Yummy! Sweet, Caring, brooding, strong, and everything Dakota needs in her life. Dakota was unfortunate to lose her fiance. He was everything to her. They met in a gym and it was instant interest. Now 9 months after that horrible incident she is trying to do anything she can for an adrenaline rush, sky diving, you name it! When her friend recommends she go to a gym, that's exactly what she does, an MMA gym. And that is where she meets the yummy hunk I mentioned before. You'll have to read it to find out more (: it's totally worth it, promise.
Serving Up Love- A Forbidden Desire, an ex pro Tennis Player, a Spoiled Rich Girl, a Demanding coach, this book has it all. Another one to hit the spot. I'm not much of a tennis player, unless we count on the wii. (: but this book was good. Very good. Ethan was almost killed in a car accident 5 years ago, which unfortunately made him lose his ability to continue as a Tennis Pro. So now he owns his own Tennis courts and coach's as much as he can. And he doesn't date his clients. Even though he might just want this one. Melanie is the spoiled rich girl, but she's so much more. And Ethan is about to find out all about it. I love that this book was about so much more than just tennis. I really enjoyed it! Especially the unsuspecting parts. Enjoy!
Played By Love- Ooh Rachelle, You are a wonderful writer. This book had it all. Nerds, jocks, deceit, lies, passion, and love what more could you want? Jaden is a soccer play, but Ella has no clue. See, he's secretly a nerd, too. That's all Ella thinks he is. The chemistry is there right off the bat and it's comforting. I loved getting to know these two individuals. Jaden is all about the girl but can he be trusted? It's fun finding out!! I loved the story line and especially how everything happened at the right, or wrong moment. Another book to recommend to my friends!
